Talent Show....

When Cherise and her friend Loganne found out their school was having a Talent Show, being this was their last year at Freedom Elementary, they decided they were going out in style... Since they both love musicals and are totally into the performing arts, they talked their friends Brittney and Kate to join them in performing "It's a Hard Knock Life" from the musical Annie. They all got together and made up a dance routine, put together props, made costumes, discussed stage makeup and practiced, practiced, practiced. Now this is elementary school, most routines were thrown together or from previous recitals.

They wouldn't let any of the parents help them or see it before the performance. So there we were all the parents in the audience waiting to see what they had come up with. They did a terrific job! In fact you had to “try out” for the Talent Show, so the teachers that directed it could put the different performances in an audience friendly order. (You know a singer, dancer, then skit….so it wouldn’t be singer, singer, piano player, piano player) Our girls ended up being the finale and everyone loved them! I think we have a couple of director/producers on our hands…
