Our Visit to Paradise...

ALOHA! As you know my parents are currently serving a service mission at the Polynesian Cultural Center in the Honolulu Hawaii Mission. Well, this summer we were able to visit the mission and see what they are doing as they work with the people in Hawaii. We enjoyed meeting so many people that they work with and being able to see the projects they are working on. They have really adapted to the culture. We enjoyed seeing a different side of Oahu as we participated in many activities at the PCC and around Oahu. One memorable activity was when Derek and Devin braved a Shark cage in the middle of the ocean. I know they saw a ton of sharks which was wonderful, but the cage was a bit more than I bargained for. As you stood you had to watch your footing or you just might lose a foot! And make sure you keep your hands inside or well...goodbye hand. I don't think Devin or Derek will ever forget it. We also went to shark cove, which is actually where the turtles sun bathe, that was totally awesome! We participated in several adventures at Kualoa Ranch. And we enjoyed a couple of days body surfing at the Hukilau Beach. Just to name a few activities we were able to enjoy. We are so glad we could go and visit. It was so wonderful to share such a special time with my parents and we are so very proud of them. What a beautiful place and wonderful people! We miss everything already....
